1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• "Service" refers to luxury vehicle rental services provided by Torquevine
• "Vehicle" means any car, sedan, convertible, or hybrid automobile rented from Torquevine
• "Renter" or "You" refers to the individual or corporate entity entering into a rental agreement
• "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to Torquevine, operating from 501 Bukit Timah Road, #03-07, Singapore 259760
• "Agreement" means the rental contract including these Terms and Conditions
• "Rental Period" means the duration from vehicle pick-up to return as specified in the agreement

2. Acceptance of Terms

By making a reservation, signing a rental agreement, or taking possession of a vehicle, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not proceed with the rental. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Torquevine.

3. Eligibility Requirements

3.1 Age and Licensing

Renters must:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Hold a valid driver's license for minimum 2 years
• For Singapore citizens and residents: Singapore driver's license
• For international visitors: Valid home country license plus International Driving Permit
• For convertible and high-performance vehicles: Minimum age 25 years and 3 years driving experience

3.2 Required Documentation

You must present at vehicle pick-up:

• Valid driver's license (original, no photocopies)
• Passport or Singapore NRIC for identity verification
• Credit card in your name for security deposit
• Reservation confirmation number

4. Reservation and Payment Terms

4.1 Booking Process

Reservations can be made through our website, phone, or in person. All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, particularly for weekends and public holidays.

4.2 Payment Requirements

Payment terms:

• Full payment required at time of vehicle pick-up
• Accepted payment methods: Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
• Security deposit: SGD 1,500 - 3,000 depending on vehicle category (refundable)
• Deposit held on credit card, released within 7-14 business days after vehicle return
• Currency: Singapore Dollars (SGD)

4.3 Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations 48+ hours before scheduled pick-up: Full refund
• Cancellations 24-48 hours before: 50% charge of first day rental rate
• Cancellations less than 24 hours or no-show: Full first day rental rate charged
• For corporate accounts: Negotiated terms apply as per service agreement

4.4 Pricing

Rental rates are as quoted at time of booking and include:

• Comprehensive insurance coverage (subject to excess)
• Unlimited mileage within Singapore
• Collection-specific amenities (aromatherapy sets, weather briefings, route guides)
• 24/7 roadside assistance

Additional charges may apply for:

• Late returns: SGD 80 per hour
• Cross-border travel (requires advance approval)
• Additional drivers: SGD 40 per day per driver
• Cleaning fees if vehicle returned in unsatisfactory condition
• Traffic violations and parking fines (plus SGD 30 administrative fee)

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

5.1 Permitted Use

Vehicles may only be used:

• On paved public roads within Singapore
• By the named renter and authorized additional drivers only
• For personal or business transportation purposes
• In compliance with all Singapore traffic laws and regulations

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Allow anyone not listed on the rental agreement to drive the vehicle
• Use the vehicle for racing, rallying, or any competitive motorsport activity
• Drive the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Transport illegal goods or engage in unlawful activities
• Carry passengers for hire (taxi, ride-sharing services)
• Drive off-road, on beaches, or unpaved surfaces
• Leave Singapore without written authorization
• Sublet or lend the vehicle to any third party
• Smoke or vape inside the vehicle
• Transport pets without prior approval

5.3 Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full tank. If returned with less fuel, you will be charged:

• Fuel cost at prevailing rates plus 20% service fee
• Refueling service charge of SGD 50

For hybrid vehicles in Corporate Green Fleet, charging is managed by Torquevine at no additional cost.

6. Insurance and Liability

6.1 Insurance Coverage

All rentals include comprehensive insurance providing:

• Third-party liability coverage
• Collision damage coverage (subject to excess)
• Theft protection (subject to excess)

Standard excess amounts:

• Garden City Cruiser: SGD 2,000
• Open-Air Touring Roadster: SGD 3,500
• Corporate Green Fleet: SGD 2,500

Excess reduction options available at additional cost. Coverage excludes damage caused by prohibited activities or gross negligence.

6.2 Renter Liability

You are responsible for:

• Any damage to the vehicle not covered by insurance
• Loss or damage to keys, remote controls, or accessories
• Towing costs resulting from negligence or prohibited use
• All traffic violations, parking fines, and toll charges incurred during rental period
• Interior cleaning fees for excessive dirt, stains, or odors

6.3 Accident Procedures

In case of accident or theft:

• Contact Torquevine immediately: +65 6345 8271
• File police report within 24 hours and obtain report number
• Do not admit fault or liability at the scene
• Collect contact and insurance details from other parties involved
• Take photographs of damage and scene if possible
• Complete accident report form provided by Torquevine

7. Vehicle Condition and Maintenance

7.1 Pre-Rental Inspection

We conduct thorough inspection before each rental. You should inspect the vehicle upon collection and report any concerns immediately. Failure to report existing damage may result in you being held responsible.

7.2 During Rental Period

You must:

• Check oil, water, and tire pressure regularly
• Report any mechanical issues or warning lights immediately
• Not attempt repairs without our authorization
• Keep the vehicle reasonably clean and in good condition

8. Termination

8.1 Our Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle immediately if:

• You violate any terms of this agreement
• The vehicle is used for illegal purposes
• You provide false information
• Payment obligations are not met
• The vehicle's safety or condition is at risk

No refund will be provided for terminated rentals, and you remain liable for all outstanding charges.

8.2 Early Return

If you return the vehicle before the agreed rental period ends, no refund will be provided for unused days unless otherwise agreed for long-term corporate rentals.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.

9.2 Informal Resolution

Before pursuing legal action, we encourage you to contact us to resolve any concerns. We are committed to addressing issues promptly and fairly.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our liability for direct damages is capped at the total rental fees paid
• We are not responsible for delays, mechanical breakdowns, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control
• Route recommendations and weather briefings are provided for convenience; we assume no liability for decisions made based on this information

11. General Provisions

11.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

11.2 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the rental agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Torquevine, superseding all prior discussions or agreements.

11.3 Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
